I-270 Corridor: Help on the Way for 14 Bottlenecks
September 19, 2017 |
If you missed our September 7th breakfast, you missed a great presentation about imminent changes on I-270 that will improve some of the worst bottlenecks along the corridor – from Frederick to the Beltway! Drivers on I-270 will start to see the first construction and technology improvements in mid-September as a result of Governor Hogan’s $100 Million Innovative Congestion Management project. SMTA, with your support, will continue to advocate for long-term fixes to I-270 which add capacity, bridge improvements and transit but smoothing out the bottlenecks are actions to be applauded. See the improvements in your area in the presentation by Project Director, Jeffrey T. Folden, PE, DBIA who is the Chief of the Innovative Contracting Division of Maryland’s State Highway Administration
